Theater On Ice
Theatre On Ice (TOI) is a form of competitive and performative figure skating that combines the grace of figure skating with the excitement of theatre and dance. Known as “Ballet on Ice” in Europe, TOI teams consist of eight to 28 skaters on the ice telling a story together. TOI brings skaters together and increases club skaters, giving athletes the chance to be a part of a team, travel locally and internationally, and make new friends. Introductory TOI Team: Quartz
  • Our Introductory Team, Quartz, allows skaters to get started on their TOI journey by learning choreography and technique.
  • The season is split into two sessions, with opportunities for the team to perform in shows and competitions.
  • Skaters learn how to work in a team environment, follow choreography, develop basic performance skills, and work with props.
    • These skills translate to other aspects of figure skating by creating strong skaters and trained performers in competitions and performing arts.
  • There are various off-ice team-building activities planned throughout the year. Examples:
    • Fundraising
    • Team Dinner
    • Open Ice Session
    • Gift Exchange
    • Off-Ice Training
